Over the last 18 years in the healthcare industry, Roderick has held several senior executive roles with companies, including MedQuest Associates Inc., Novant Health, Eli Lilly and Company and Western Dental Services Inc. Roderick has become a trusted partner and advisor leading company strategy, driving operational excellence, working closely with clinical leadership and leading and motivating field operations and corporate teams with a focus on the patient experience through quality of care while fostering integration of field operations and critical corporate support departments. Roderick has demonstrated a track record of maximizing financial performance and improving patient flow and critical processes, as well as leading and transforming companies to achieve a competitive advantage and sustained growth through operational, sales, marketing and strategic efficiencies and strategic partnerships. Throughout his expansive career, Roderick has proven to be a dynamic leader in the healthcare industry.
Roderick holds a Bachelor in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Grand Valley State University. Additionally, Roderick completed a healthcare curriculum with UNC Chapel Hill in Executive Leadership with Novant Health. Roderick has also completed numerous courses in executive leadership, lean six sigma performance improvement, regulatory and compliance matters.
In 2005, after 6+ years of working as an Operations Consultant with A.T. Kearney, Charles founded Harthan Consulting Group, LLC. (HCG), the predecessor to MedSummit Solutions. Charles’ knowledge and experience with operational transformation has led to the development of many strong client relationships, and he is a trusted advisor to many senior executives.
As a Principal in A.T. Kearney’s Operations Practice, Charles led supply chain and operations management initiatives for global and/or Fortune 500 clients in a wide range of industries including consumer products, aerospace & defense, energy, technology & software, and medical devices / healthcare. Prior to consulting, Charles worked in industry for six years at Bausch & Lomb and Ocean Spray in various operations and manufacturing leadership positions.
Charles holds an M.B.A. from Cornell University where he was a Park Leadership Fellow and earned a Dean’s Certificate in Financial Engineering. Additionally, Charles holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas. Charles has been a member of The Association for Operations Management (APICS) since 1995 where he has been certified in Supply Chain Management.
